My PhD dissertation, "Sprites and Their Parent Discharges", was completed in less than 4 months in early 2000 and was successfully defended on April 25, 2000 at New Mexico Tech. The original version was written in LaTeX. A printable version of my dissertation is available in the form of a very large (180 MB) postscript file. If you would like a copy of it, you'll need to download it in one of the following two compressed formats:

You will then need to uncompress the file. Most commercial decompression utilities recognize one or both of the above formats. However, if you have any trouble, both bzip2 and gzip software can be downloaded for free. The postscript file is meant for color duplex printers, but should print fine on many other printers too.
